Lisa DuBois often finds herself drawn to the zone between fantasy and reality. Seeking out performances and festivities in which participants transition from the prosaic into the transcendent “fantasy moment,” is what sparks her imagination.

Lisa is a contributing columnist and photographer for Examiner.com and About.com, specializing in New York City parades, and a photographer for MardiGrasUnmasked.com. Using computer software, she also produces thought-provoking surreal images from her original photographs of the natural word. She has a degree in metaphysical science, and is certified as a hypnotherapist and tarot reader.
